Online Update check- REFERENCES NOT WORKING

Hi

I've used the .gov website to try and get a status update on my wife's visa application. I submitted the case online on 07/07/17 and biometrics done on 13/07/2017, documents sent on 18/07/17. I've entered my GWF number and IHS number but neither is recognised.

I know the site is in beta but is any else having the same problem?

Some peoples' references work and some don't. It's basically random.

I have heard that some people were able to check using delivery reference number of postage or case id

As I understand it, the status updated service is only available for UK based applications not application made from abroad - such as spouse visa application. It may not be recognised because it an application being made from outside the UK.
