Tier 5 YMS - Bank Statement Date?? HELP!

Post by missyk » Thu Jul 27, 2017 11:01 pm

Hi everyone,

For Tier 5 YMS - can the date of bank statement a few days earlier than the date of application??

I am a Hong Kong National who has lived in the UK in the past years under both Tier 4 and Tier 2 (1year) visa, hence my only bank account is registered in the UK. As you would know I am required to be in Hong Kong when applying for the Tier 5 YMS (even when filling in the online application form as that's when I pay the fees and book appointment for the visa centre.)

I am planning on going back to Hong Kong say 23/08 and apply online on 24/08. Can my bank statement be a few days earlier say 21/08 or does it have to be after the 24/08 to show sufficient funds in account at the time of application?? I wouldn't have physical access to the bank in UK when I am in HK let alone getting official stamps, statement on headed paper etc. ???

Please advice!! Many thanks!!

See the Imnmigration Rules, Appendix C paragraph 1B(a)(i):

The statements must cover:
(1) a consecutive 90-day period of time, if the applicant is applying as a Tier 1 Migrant, a Tier 2 Migrant a Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Migrant, or the Partner or Child of a Relevant Points Based System Migrant in any of these categories,
(2) a single date within 31 days of the date of the application, if the applicant is applying as a Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) Migrant, or
(3) a consecutive 28-day period of time, if the applicant is applying as a Tier 4 Migrant or the Partner or Child of a Relevant Points Based System Migrant who is a Tier 4 Migrant
