LOST my Tier 2 visa application by 1st Royal Mail Singed For

Hi everyone,

I am switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 general visa. I sent my application (including my passport and tier 4 visa - Entry Clearance sticker on my passport) to "PO box 3468 sheffield s3 8wa" using "1st class Royal Mail signed for" 11 days ago (on 20/07/2017). The status of my letter on the Royal Mail system is still "processing", it means that the letter has been not delivered to the address and classified as a lost item.

Is there any chance that my application has been already delivered but no one had signed on the Royal Mail system (as it was sent to a PO box??), so the status of my letter has been not updated in the Royal Mail system? Do you know what is the best way to contact the home office to know whether or not they have received my application?

In the case of my application gets lost, what should I do? do I need to re-apply a Tier 4 visa in order to switch to Tier 2 visa?

Call Royal Mail and ask, quoting your reference tracking number. I once sent a form that wasn't showing up as delivered, but it actually had been and the operator gave me the name of the person who signed for it.

i have heard this happening before when posts being delivered to PO boxes.

Thanks Akorotaeva, I called Royal Mail last week but they said it even hasn't attempted to deliver my letter

Can you please share what happen to your case? it would great help, as I have a same issue - my documents are not delivered yet and royal mail tracker is same.
