Tier 2 extension - refused entry at border question

Post by elantos2 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 9:19 pm

Hi,

I am applying for an extension of my UK tier 2 visa. There's now a question asking whether you have been refused entry at a border. I am unsure whether to include a situation I went through a few years ago during a flight from Belarus to the UK with a connecting flight at Vienna. Upon reaching Vienna, the only option was to go through border control as it turned out that the connecting flight was in a different terminal. I had made it pretty clear that I didn't wish to enter the country, but to take the connecting flight. They took me away and offered me a return flight to Belarus or a different flight to the UK from that terminal. I opted to buy the ticket to the UK from that terminal.

I never received any paperwork or any stamps in my passport to indicate that there was a refusal of entry. I'm not even sure it was entered into a system anywhere. Should I include this in the application under that question? I am worried that if I don't, they might take that as a deception and refuse the visa if it is classed as a refusal of entry.
