Hello,
in short we made a huge mistake while booking our holidays and we realise it just now.
I am an EEA national with DCPR document and my husband non-EEA national is holding an EEA2 card which is due to expire on the 17 Oct.
We have applied for his EEA4 PR status back in May and still waiting for the answer. We have received the COA today.
Our flights, hotels, etc.... everything is booked for holidays the last 2 weeks of October. At that point of time, the EEA2 card will have expired and we don't know wether he will have already received his PR. There is a possibility he won't.
My question is that in this situation, is there any chances that both the airlines and immigrations let us leave and come back to the country ?
We will be traveling together.
My understanding is that the EEA2 card is only certifying a visa status which is acquired by him being married with me and me exerting my treaty rights, so if i present my PR and our marriage certificate, in addition to his COA for his own PR, that should be sufficient enough proof?
does anyone have attempt this ? was it successful ?
We are calling UKBA tomorrow but just wanted to know what you guys think of
Thanks
