Advice on Husband's tourist visa to UK

I work in the UK as a nurse with a tier2 visa. I got married this year in the Philippines where my husband works a doctor. We have not yet decided if I we will live permanently in the Philippines or in the UK. But I was hoping he can come and visit me for a couple of months or so next year. I am confused as to what type of visa we should apply for. Will it be a point against us if we apply for a short term visa he being a doctor and me living in the UK..Any advice will be appreciated.
