How's UK testing/Testmanagement/automation contract job mkt?

Hello,

Guys who are in the UK please respond to this...

How is testing/Test management/automation contract job mkt now..???
I know it was very bad for last 6 months. I am one of those HSMP holder who came back to India after 6 months unsuccessful job search in UK. Did the mkt shows any improvemnt now..??? Even though I have 10 years testing & test managemnt experience (with prev UK exp) I could not find any job for 6 months & came back to Bangalore in Jan due to financial reasons. Even though I was based in South england I could not survive last time. :cry:


I heard mkt gone from bad to worst in last 2 months is there any improvemnet now..?? I am lucky to get a job back in bangalore. This time I am planning to get job while in India & travel only after that.
4 of my Infosys collegues also came back Jan last week.

Few roles I saw was having Security Clearence as mandatory.I also came to know from an agancy that agencies are putting Security Clearence as mandatory to disallow HSMP holders for those roles..!


Any one actively trying for UK jobs Please let me know...thanks for all helps in Immigration boards..

Hi, Did you try for tester jobs or test manager type of jobs.
Weren't you and your colleagues able to get any interviews ?
What do you think must be the reason for not getting a job.

Thanks...

I started job search for TEST Manager, after failure to secure any for 2 months I decided to take tester role as well as permanent roles.

I thought since I have PRINCE2 & ISEB I could get job easily..!!

Hi Tina,
So were you able to get a role as a tester ? Is there a good chance to get a job as a tester if we do iseb ?
I do understand the difficulty for you in getting test manager role.

FRIENDS,

NO JOB HERE..LETS BE CLEAR...GO BACK TO HOME COUNTRY REQUEST PREVIOUS HR MANAGER TO GIVE BACK INDIAN JOB.I THINK THATS THE ONLY WAY...

THINK TWICE OR THEICW BEFORE QUITING YOUR JOBS...1000S OF HSMP
HOLDERS STARTED WORKING IN SUPER MARKETS & COFEEE SHOPS..
I KNOW AT LEAST 10 OF MY FRIENDS IN COFEE SHOPS, CLEANING TABLES. THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR THAT JOB WITH EASTERN EUROPIANS WHO GOT A DEFINITE EDGE OVER INDIANS..

SO EVEN THAT IS NOT EASY

NO IT JOB HERE AT ALL..
