Overstayers marriage visa

Post by Mansingh » Sun Aug 06, 2017 6:36 pm

Hello there!

I want little advice here if someone can help or relatable to this situation, basically I came to the uk on student visa in 2010 and then visa was due to expired in 2012 and I was trying to find another college for My extension leave and further study and then I applied for my extension leave through a agent in london who helped me to find a college in london and then immigration sent me a letter asking about my previous study completion certificate or any other document which states that I have completed my study or I have been good with attendance but my previous college didn't gave it me on time when I was applyin my further leave and then when they gave it to me I passed it to my agent so he can send it to the home office but unfortunately he didn't and then I received a letter from immigration that in the given time I didn't send document what they have asked for and they asked me to leave the country within 28 days and I have apply for appeal through solicitor that which got me nothing just wasted time and money Aug 2013 and since then I overstayed in the country and got my driving licence and worked on national insurance where I was already working but later I decided to leave I met someone from there and I wanted to make things right because It wasn't the life I wanted to live I left country voluntarily in aug 2015 and then later I moved to France and now I have french residency card but I wanted to get married with my british citizen partner ad I was thinking to apply for marriage vistor visa as my partner wants to get married in england because she got all the family living there i don't think they will issue me one but I'm confused here should I apply for marriage vistor or should I get married here in France and apply for spouse visa from here if I can how long they will take it thankyou

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
