Spelling error in Masters Certificate

Post by Satabdidas1390 » Mon Aug 07, 2017 8:35 pm

Hi,

My original name is Satabdi Das. My masters Degree certificate and marksheets have Shatabdi Das on them. I have received a CAS from the University. I was about to apply for the student's visa tomorrow but I noticed this. What should I do?

I assume the transcript is for a different qualification than the certificate? Because there is no need to provide a transcript *and* a certificate for the same course. Extra unnecessary documents are always a bad idea, especially if they have an error on them.

You need to either get the error corrected, or explain the error. If it cannot be corrected, maybe get a letter from whoever awarded the certificate (and transcript, if it's a different course) that confirms you (as per your passport) are the person who these documents pertain to.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
