Spouse visa when sponsor is director of Limited company

Hi All

My friend is apply for his wife spouse visa extension
He has to show £18600 for income
He is director of limited company .
He has received salary from company about £10000 and wife is also employee of company and she was paid £9000 .
Both salaries were paid for last 12 month

There company has made very little profit which is about £6000 after taking all expenses including salaries
Will it make any issue ? Is home office only concern with salaries or company profit too ??

As both of them were working for same company and earning less than the personal tax allowance is it ok for their visa application

Does the wife's salary reflect the nature of the real work she does for the company? If not and it's a tax fiddle there might be problems down the line.
