Hello everyone,
I hope all is good with you. I have been a follower for this forum for good few years.
I have a few questions for you regarding spouse visa for my wife.
I'm a Malaysian citizen living and working in the U.K. for almost 10 years and going to apply for my 10 year Long Residence SET (LR). My wife is currently working in Malaysia and we have been married for 8 months now. She has a 10 year U.K. ban against her as a result of supplying incorrect information when she applied for a student visa 6 years ago of which she didn't bother to appeal. It's killing me that my wife is not allowed to visit me in the U.K. and I have to travel back to Malaysia to see her.
I'm planning to get her to apply for Spouse visa in Malaysia and possibly using the priority service in September as soon as my SET (LR) is granted. Now I understand that for spouse visa we will need to provide various evidences to show proof of our relationship, financial and marriage.
I've spent several days looking at Border Agency website trying to find information on visa application and etc but would appreciate some inputs from you guys here:
1. If applying from Malaysia, does the spouse visa application can only be done online? Which form do I need to use?
2. Are the supporting documentation needs to be submitted to Sheffield UK?
3. Is it possible to go for priority / express service? If so, how can I?
4. What are the chances of visa to be granted based on the fact that my wife is serving her 10 year visa ban?
5. What would be the turnaround timing?
6. What are the other requirements that we both have to meet? I earn more than minimum salary required and on track to be granted SET (LR) in September
Your input will be much appreciated. Thank you people
