EEA Family permit after divorce

Hello All,
I'm a Brazilian who moved to Italy since I was 9. Unfortunately my mother never applied for my Italian citizenship. My mother is an Italian citizen and I have also an italian half brother and a Italian step father. I currently own an illimited permit to stay in Italy. I got married to an Italian in 2009 in italy and we moved to UK in 2012. my EEA family visa arrived early 2013. We lived as a married couple in UK from 2012-2015 and got officially divorced in June 2016. I have applied to have an extention of my visa as a divorced patner ( expiring in 2018) early this year and it was refused for lack of evidence that my ex husband was working in UK. I have sent his work contract, the copy of our certificate of divorce, the original of our marriage certificate translated, I have also informed that was working as well from 2013-2017 at the same place but I haven't provided any evidence such as pay slips or my contract. I have know contacted a lawyer to help with my second application as I was told that it's best than appeal. I had sleepless nights as I don't know what's going to happen. Anyone can say a word about my case? It will be really appreciated.
