Do I need to send sponsorship?

Post by shtuped_malaka » Sat Aug 12, 2017 12:24 pm

My parents would like a relative from India- it's for a family visit (no study or work), they'd like me to sign the sponsorship form. This is leaving me confused because I thought a visitor visa would have been sufficient, and the UK gov site is not showing any hint of needing to sign someone's sponsorship forms unless they intend to work or settle in the UK. Further to that, the sponsorship form that I have is not something I have seen on the UK gov site either, but from some third party organisation.

My parents are unable to sign any sponsorship because of their employment status, and as I began my job fairly recently, I don't have any savings I can use to back up any claim.

Question:
Does an Indian relative need a sponsorship to have a visa to come to the UK for a visit?

A SU07 sponsorship form isn't required for a visitor visa application. Your relative in India will need to show that they have strong ties to their home country and are financially self-sufficient.
