Non-Eu Travel to Shengen with British Child

I am a Belarusian and have a UK settlement visa and a british child, can I travel to Shengen countries for short stays accompanied by my child without having to get a visa in advance? Eg if I travel to France etc with my British spouse they just give me a visa on the border without any hassle at all, but do I have the same rights if I am only with my young child instead of my spouse?
