Hello,
I need advice from members here based on your experience. Below is my visa history:
- First Tier 2 General Visa - 17/5/2013 to 30/9/2016 but it was cancelled on 20/12/2013
- Second Tier 2 General Visa - 30/12/2013 to 31/03/2015
- Third and current Tier 2 General Visa - 01/04/2015 - 17/05/2019
I'll be eligible to apply for ILR visa on 20/04/2018 (28 days prior to 17/05/2018). So, it is just ~8 months from now.
I recently attended an interview and was able to get the offer by the end of it. Employer is ready to sponsor and they also have Tier 2 General sponsorship license (A rating). The offer, job role and organisation is quite good.
However, like any other organisation, they have probation period of 6 months and their termination policy is quite different i.e. a day of notice period if its under a month, a week if its over a month and a month after probation.
I'm not able to decide about this. Everything about the new role is good but at the same time it is quite risky. As if due to any reason I'm not able to complete the probation period or the company's license gets cancelled or any other reason that affects my sponsorship then it will be a scary to find job at that time.
What do you recommend to do in this case? Change sponsor, take risk OR stay safe for remaining period and then look for a job later.
