Carer of Child, Mother Application Help Required

Hi,

I have been viewing this forum for many years and find it very useful, even more so than the UKBA website.

I am looking to make an application and would like some clarification please, I have been researching myself and at the stage of applying and want to be sure I am doing it right.

I am looking after a child who is a British citizen (naturalized and now has a UK passport).

The father is a British citizen but does not look after the child, does not work etc. He lives elsewhere and keeps himself away.

My wife and I look after the child, we have an unofficial agreement with the father, social services were informed and they said that no official agreement is required as we are related to the child.

We would like to call the mother (my wife's sister) over from Pakistan and live with us.

Which application route will allow this? We would like her to live here long term.

The mother is prepared, English test done.

The father has been unsuccessful in bringing his wife over and this route seems difficult to succeed.

She will be okay, provide she can meet the income requirement and not in a relationship with the father.

I want to sponsor her so will take the responsibility of finances, accommodation etc.
