Tier 4 to Residence Card EEA FM

Post by ledrox » Tue Aug 15, 2017 8:23 pm

Hi everyone,

thank you very much to the website administrator. This is a great website.

I have few questions I would like to ask here. Before just a quick background.

I am Italian and I moved in the UK in 2014. I work full time. My fincee is here under student tier 4 visa which will expire in January 2018. We are a couple since 2014 and next month we are getting married.
I am planning to submit EEA FM form and EEA QP form (in Sept) after married to get a resident card (for her) and a registration certificate for myself at the same time.

My questions are:
- processing time to get a residence card is 6 months. Can my fincee stay here after her tier 4 visa expired?
- If she decide to go back home for Christmas she will need to request back her passport. (i) It is ok after a couple of month request the passport back without withdrawal the application? (ii) should she apply for a family permit to get back here while the residence card process is still ongoing?
- finally I have downloaded the relevant forms mentioned above. We have proof of joint bank account, tenancy agreement (1 year cohabitation), plus photos, letters, bills, etc. Any useful advice from people did this application before on what I should attach or anything else you feel I should know?

Many thanks in advace
Lello
