NARIC AND SELT BOTH?

Hello Sir/ Ma'm,
My ILR is due in few months time. I am on Tier 2 General 5 Years route.
Started collecting all the documents. While going through documents list, someone confused me.

What my understanding is
I need to clear life in UK and SELT. In case I get to clear SELT I don't need to get NARIC done for my educational certificates. In fact there is no need to even submit education certificates.

But someone else who has recently gone through the process said that If I get to do SELT then it only saves me from getting a letter from university that degree was taught in English. I still have to get NARIC done for my educational certificates.

What is correct?
Please advise.
