ILR Eligibility and letter of absences

Post by jkcool » Wed Aug 16, 2017 2:03 pm

Hi Al,

I am just preparing documents for ILR and have couple of questions

ILR Eligibility
1. I switched from Tier 4 to Tier 2 General using a PEO appointment on 05-12-2012 and got my BRP effective that date. But as per my job contract, my start date was 17-Dec-2012. When am I eligibe to apply for ILR ? 28 days before Dec 5th or 28 days before Dec 17th ?

Note: It was given initially for 2 years and got it extended for another 4 years in 2014 December. Now I have it until 05-Dec-2018.

Letter of absences

2.In Feb-March 2015, I went to India for 30 days on sick/bereavement leave but because my employer needs to get some work done. They allowed me to work for 9 days from my home in India. Since I worked, those 9 days are not marked as leave in the HR system. So when they give me my Letter of absences, it will not include those 9 days. What should be done for those days ?

I beleive the Letter of absences is different from the list of absenses from the UK that I need to submit. Is it ?

28 days from completing your five years from 05-12-2012.

As they allowed it and agreed with you on it, your manager has to instruct HR to include those absences in the letter

Thank you so much.

Is Premium service availability difficult to obtain ? £590 is the charge right ?

So £2,297 + £590 = £2,887
