Tier 4 dependant

Hello,
I have a question about Tier 4 dependant visa. I have a Tier 4 student visa. Currently I am studying second year undergraduate and my level is NFQ 5 I saw in one website that Tier 4 dependants can stay in U.K. only if you are doing postgraduate. My husband finished his studies and as we are married he wants to switch his visa to Tier 4 dependant. He wants to stay in the U.K. until I finish my undergraduate studies in end of 2018. As I am a Undergraduate student can he switch his visa to Tier 4 dependant?

Hi Alex94,
As you are undergraduate student your cannot sponsor any dependant on your Tier 4 visa. Only Postgraduate students on level 7 and above can bring dependant to the UK presently. Please read the Tier 4 policy guidance version 06/2017 from page 64 paragraph 283 which stated that "Students sponsored by an HEI on a course at RQF level 7 or above lasting 12 months or more, government sponsored students following a course that is longer than six months and Doctorate Extension Scheme students will be able to bring their partners and/or children (also known as dependants) to the UK with them".

No, unless you are government sponsored.

Tier 4 dependent route is applicable only for postgraduate courses and there are other conditions such as a public funded institution and HEI sponsor.
