Tier 2 Visa - Have you even been refused a visa question.

Post by pongmaz » Thu Aug 17, 2017 11:33 am

Hi all,

So I am applying for Tier 2 General leave to remain, the company that sponsor me completed the draft application form with an assumption that I have never be rejected a visa for any country other than UK. Unfortunately, I have. I was rejected by Germany for a tourist visa in May 2007 (technically more than 10 years ago), with no specific reason and I was just a teenager at the time who was still using child passport; so the company suggested me to ignore the incident since it's more than 10 years.
However, I could not see any evidence for the "more than 10 years so I don't need to declare", in the incomplete application pdf file I can see the question is "Have you even been refused a visa for any country other than the UK"?
Should I declare the incident? :?
Many thanks

Hi,

You should declare that even it was more than 10 years ago.

The question has been changed since last year. They used to ask about last 10 years refusal now they ask for any refusals anytime.

Thanks,
Hassan

Hi Hassan,

Thank you very much for make that clear for me. It is really helpful to know as I have made many student visa in the past (which I remember they always ask for 10 years period) and I have always declared so I just want to be honest and keep the consistency there.

Thanks.
