Already on ILR but Lost BRP

Apologies if this has been addressed before as I cannot find the answer to it.

Can someone share the process for an ILR permit holder who has lost the BRP please?

Do they need to report it on the UKBA website, and then apply using the BRP(RC) form, paying the £56 fee, and once approved by UKBA, pay the £19.20 fee to get their Biometric details enrolled at the post office?

A friend's colleague has said that he had to pay £500 to reapply for his BRP when he lost it last year. And he was given the option to pay about £800 for a PEO application. However, I cannot find anything on this on the UKBA website.

So if anyone on ILR has had the unfortunate experience of having to replace their BRP before, can you please confirm the process and fees involved please?
