Hi,
When applying with the British Council in my wife's home country, the only available options when booking the ielts exam were 'General Training' and 'Academic'.
General training was listed as 'For those wanting to migrate to the Uk or study below degree level'.
To cut a long story short, I mistakenly assumed that was the life skills A1 test.
She is currently taking the test (oral done, written due in a few days) but I don't know where we stand - if she passes the exam will that be acceptable?
If I have to pay for another test, then so be it (though I'd rather not stress my wife out), but I don't want to lose lots of time waiting for results that may be meaningless.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
