Hi, I have a question regarding the financial requirements when sponsoring my wife to come from the Philippines to the UK on a spouse visa. At present, I am a carer and as such I understand that I should be exempt from having to show earnings of £18,600 per annum. I also understand that I need to show an income of £114.86 per week to provide the minimum amount that a married couple require to live in the UK according to income support levels.
I am in receipt of carers allowance and income support which amounts to £107 per week, a shortfall of approximately £8.
I understand that immigration laws have changed since 10th of August and that it may be possible to have alternative means of income taken into consideration.
My questions are as follows:
Is it possible to have a verifiable promise of a job for my wife taken into consideration for the financial requirements?
Could proof of savings which would work out at more than £8 per week for the duration of the 33 month visa be taken into consideration?
Can other members of my family promise to make up the shortfall in my income for the duration of the visa?
If anyone could help I would be very greatful...
Thanks in advance....
