advise child concession

Please help overstay visitor

hi all friends .

i would like to get your kind advise about overstayed as visitor.
My girl friend and I came to uk as visitor in september 2007 and for some reasons didnt back home. i decided to stay UK

now, we have 2 children (one 3year old and one 1.8 years old )We have not applied any sylum or anything .
we do not know what to do .if my child lived in the UK continuously for seven years. can we apply indefinite leave to remain (ILR) is that possible ?
or apply asylum
please let me know guys .

Asylum is for people who are in danger if they return to their homeland rather than those who merely want to live in a better place. Yes, it's true that the 7 year child concession but you are 4 years short of that target.

Also, the 7 year concession would be a route to settlement not ILR.

Where have you come from and why did you not want to go back?

There is no concession anymore as such, it's all judged on the best interests of the child, and the view is children can adapt.

Adults can too - I've lived in four different countries over the last three years and I'm 56!
