Appeal taking so long

Post by Flora101 » Mon Aug 21, 2017 8:50 am

Please am here on behalf of my boyfriend, he went into legal marriage with an Eu citizen but the marriage didn't last so they got divorced. He then submitted his ILR but was denied in April . He therefore submitted an appeal that same April , our concern now is that we have not heard anything from them since that April and we are in August. How long does appeal usually take for a hearing appointment to be fixed. Thanks

Often 12 months or more.

How long did the marriage last?

Why was PR refused? (ILR is under the UK Immigration Rules, not EEA Regulations).

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

The marriage lasted for 3 years and the refusal wasn't based on the marriage rather it was based on some police cases he once had in the past where his fingerprints were matched to a name other than his.
Meanwhile he was told to continue working but am just worried that the appeal is taking so long based on his circumstance.
