I moved to the UK from Canada in the summer of 1999. BEcause i was under the age of 16 I was on my mothers passport. On the 20th July 1998 we were given ILR.
Since that time i have gone on to get my own passport but have never had the IRL stamp in my passport. I joined the army in 2003 and have been able to travel freely without any questions due to always having my military ID with me. It has now only dawned on me the severity of not having the stamp in my passport as I have lost the paperwork for my mothers and mine IRL.
I have had a falling out with my mother and she is proving unhelpful in the whole situation. All I have to show that I have my IRL is a picture of her stamp which clearly isnt sufficient.
Im currently waiting for my new passport to arrive and im hoping to settle this whole IRL problem. I have Lived in the UK for 20 years now and have gone to school and worked for the entire time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
