FLR M money requirement

Post by mashruk59 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:35 pm

Hello,

I will be living in UK for 10 years on July 2018. Currently, I am doing PhD at Cardiff University. I got married last year in UK. My wife is currently living with me as my dependent and her current dependent visa expires on July 2019. I have few inquiries about her visa:

1. Do I have to apply for her visa extension when I apply for my ILR on July 2018 or can I wait until her visa expires on July 2019?

2. As I am a student, I do not work but I do get a studentship of £20000 per year (tax free) from the university. Does that count as the maintenance?

3. If not how much I need to show on my savings account and for how long?

Thanks in advance,
S.
