Travel without BRP but current visa still valid

Post by choc_mouse » Thu Aug 24, 2017 3:21 pm

My wife applied for FLR (first extension of spouse visa), where a BRP was issued to her for the first time.

The current visa in her passport is still valid until end of September.

The BRP has an error on it and we may need to send it back (we need to get proofs/documents from Japan then translate them first).

Given it took them 24 days (instead of 10) to issue it originally, I'm not sure we will have a BRP in September. But we already booked a holiday in mid-September (just under 3 weeks time).

Can we travel without the BRP, but with the current visa only :?:

I assume Border Control will see a BRP has been issued when they scan her passport and would want to see it.
