How to bring up the topic of sponsorship to a potential employer?

Post by NatashaNY » Thu Aug 24, 2017 4:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I went through all the interview processes and a potential employer is impressed and are going to give me an offer. At no point did the need to be sponsored topic ever come up. The company is on the registered list of employers. Any advice how to bring it up this late? Should I wait for the offer and say it?

Good thing is that they do seem quite impressed with me and I really don't want to disappoint them or having this sponsorship from stopping me from getting this new job.

Any advice please?

Thank you,
Natalie

Before you consider asking them for a certificate of sponsorship, check if you meet the requirements -
1. Have they met the resident labour market test?
2. Does the offer meet the UKVI salary requirement?
3. Are you eligible to switch within the UK? (I'm assuming that your are planning to make an in-country application).
