what to take to biometric appoinement

Post by Pixel598 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 5:13 pm

At the biometric appointment what documents should the applicant take with them.

On the vfs global pakistan website it says there is now a scanning process and it also states to bring with you supporting documents.

This is what it states on the vfs pakistan website;

What documents do I submit for a visa application?

Your appointment confirmation,

A valid passport or travel document

In case you are exempted to give biometrics, 2 recent passport-sized (45mm x 35mm) color photograph of your face, which meets the requirements in UK Visas and Immigration’s photograph guidance.

A printout of your online application form signed and dated

A printout of the receipt for the user pay services paid online

Any supporting documents relevant to your application (please ensure documents are removed from any bulky folders such as ring binders as these cannot be accepted as part of your application)

Gerry’s or their staff are not authorized to advise/suggest the category or comment on the documents and duration of visa issued.
Please refer to the attached checklist
You will be asked to complete a document checklist on arrival at the visa application centre.

For those applicants that have recently been for an appointment what did you take with you and did you have documents scanned? Did you take supporting documents with you to the appointment?

Hi

I have had my spouse visa appointment on 4th August.

Documents i took to appointment were :

Current and previous original passports
Application form signed by applicant.
Visa fee payment copy
IHS payment copy + IHS reference number email
Priority fees payment copy (we paid for priority service at the VAC)
Appointment letter

Though Gerry's providing scanning service at the VAC but we preferred to send all documents to Sheffield so i haven't had any other documents with me for the appointment and after the biometrics enrollment my husband sent all documents to Sheffield and have received originals back already.
Biometrics Karachi 04/08/17
Decision received 11/10 (Visa refused on subsisting relationship)
Acknowledgment 18/12/17
Deadline 02/04/18
Decision withdrawn 26/02/18
Decision overturned 29/03/18
PP submitted 3/4/18
Visa granted 9/4/18

I searched everywhere but nowhere online could I get a clear answer.

The application form that you signed did you then send it to your husband after your appointment?

Did he still have enough time to send the documents to Sheffield?

Yes, after we submitted the online application I took the printout of the application, signed it and couriered it to my husband. I use DHL for any parcels/documents for UK as they mostly deliver in 2 working days. If you are concerned for in time delivery of your documents you can keep your appointment after couple of days of online application submission

you get 2 weeks to send your documents to Sheffield from your biometrics appointment.
