Urgent advise needed! Tier 2 Expiring in October 2017

Dear All,

Please if you could advise me on my situation. My Tier 2 is expiring with the current employer on 12 October 2017.Unfortunately the employer is not going to be extend or renew it. I have given two interviews in the last two weeks and still waiting on its feedback. My question is do I still have enough time to go through all the labour market tests(28 days) and all the other Home office requirements? or is it a bit too late for me now to apply for tier 2 visa. Does the Labor Market test has to be done before the employer give the job offer or can it be done simultaneously?

This is my first tier 2 visa which i acquired in September 2014, I switched it from PSW visa.

I would really appreciate some advise and clarifications so that I could plan ahead.

The interviews you've had with employers are they T2 licensed? RLMT can be done in 28 days even before the offer.

As long as you apply before your current visa expires then you should be fine.

Thanks for responding to my post! yes the companies are T2 licensed. so as long as my tier 2 application is filed before my visa expiry then it is fine? Is there going to be a cutoff date after which its going to be a bit too late for them to do the RLMT? sorry I am a bit of a layman when it comes to RLMT ans maybe I am also panicking abit!

First of all there is no piont in panicking. Difficult time comes on everyone you just have to deal with it smartly. Panicking will only lead to disaster.

The good news is that the companies are T2 license so I am sure they must know all about RLMT. You try to get update from them. Speak to HR and check with them if they have advertised as per RLMT
If they have not then ask them to advertise as per RLMT rules.

Also, check with them if they COS if not then they should request one

As long as you apply before your visa expires you should be perfectly fine.
