UK visa to visit UK from Gambia

Hi

I want my Gambian girlfriend to visit me in the UK.

We have known each other for 4 years. She works in a hotel in Gambia, speaks english, divorced, has 2 daughters (16 and 22). She travelled and returned to the UK 20 years ago without incident or complaint.

I will provide a letter stating that I will pay for flights, provide board and lodging etc.

I am reluctant for her to apply without making sure she meets all the requirements of the visa application.

Can anyone advise or provide any information as to why the application may fail.
