Document checklist for Tier 2 dependent

Post by mahs » Thu Aug 24, 2017 9:52 am

Hi all,

I am currently living in the UK, and we are applying for a visa for my wife. We have completed the online application form and paid the fees on Visa4UK, but at no point we were given a document checklist. We have the appointment in a few days, but we don't know what documents we need to provide!
I have searched a lot, with no success. Could anyone help? Where can we get the document checklist?

Thanks

2. Recent photographs
3. Dependent's passport
4. Photocopies of passport(s) (Tier 2 holder)
5. Photocopy of Tier 2 BRP (Tier 2 holder)
6. Letter from employer about employment (contains name, job title, salary, job start date on employer letterhead)
7. Recent 3-month payslips
8. Bank statements (3 months, min balance £1500 held for 3 months)
9. Rental agreement
10. Marriage certificate

12. TB medical report
13. Council Tax Bill

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
I think I should have mentioned that my wife has never been in the UK and this is the first time she is applying for the visa. Are the Rental agreement (which is solely in my name) and the Council tax bill still needed in this case?

Thanks

It does not matter as long your name on it.
It is only to show immigration you have accommodations for your dependent.
If you wish you can provide NOC from landlaord.
Thanks

Date of translation of the documents

Post by mahs » Mon Aug 28, 2017 10:57 pm

Hi All,

We are applying to bring my wife to the UK. We have married last year, and subsequently we translated the marriage certificate last January. Do we need a recent translation? Or can we use this almost one-year old translation as part of our documents?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
