Tier 2 ICT change in role

Hi,

I am currently in UK on a Tier II ICT Visa ( long) on a short term assignment . I have been offered another role with the same company in a different team. Currently my accommodation is provided by the company and I am given a daily allowance in addition to my base salary in my home country. Is it possible to change the conditions so that i can get a UK salary on the same Visa or is it necessary that the same mode of compensation continues for the visa to be in place?

Hi Nisha100,

I am not sure ICT but I think the minimum salary is:

£41,500 for Long-term Staff
£30,000 for Short-term Staff
£23,000 for Graduate Trainee.

As far I know I know your visa was issued for your SOC code they are allowed to change your team which is company internal policy but they can not change your job profile completely.

Not really an immigration issue. My findings below on your situation.

Yes, I believe it is possible for you to move to a UK only compensation if your company is happy. The only reason a number of companies employ the home country base salary approach is to save on tax perhaps( a legal loophole maybe :x )
By telling HMRC that you have been transferred to the UK temporarily i.e for 2 years or less + continuing to provide home country base salary, your company might be eligible to pay you UK salary in the form of "allowances" which is tax free(or very less tax)

By asking for a UK salary alone, your company might need to shell out more money which they may not prefer. Good luck
