My situation is similar to that detailed in this thread:
uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/urge ... 09753.html
I submitted a premium application, appointment tomorrow. The above thread's applicant had their new employer submit the application, so our situations are slightly different.
My employer made several mistakes on the CoS I used to submit my application:
1. Used wrong SOC code. I'm a health economist who doesn't have any role in providing medical care, they chose a code that was for people who provide medical care.
2. Used wrong category of visa. Application was submitted under Tier 2 General - Extensions - ISC Exempt, when it should have been under Tier 2 General - Changes of Employment - ISC Exempt
3. They insisted on not using a PhD tier code (2119), which all my other employers have used to describe a health economist, and therefore needed to list Jobcentre Plus Jobmatch with ID. They didn't list this initially. Luckily, they actually did make a listing that I was able to find via a cached Google version using Google search.
I successfully got my new employer to withdraw the CoS, and issue a new one with all the necessary data. What I'd like to confirm is whether my employer needs to notify UKVI of this change in CoS, or whether a cover letter provided at my Premium appointment is sufficient tomorrow.
Best Wishes,
mjr
