Tier 2 Dependent maintenance funds

Post by deepahyd » Sun Sep 03, 2017 12:26 pm

Hi,

My husband is on ILR which he has obtained through Tier 2 general. I was on tier 2 general dependent and have applied for leave to remain in same category (Tier 2 dependent) on 10th July 2017.

I completely forgot about maintaining £630 in a bank account for continuous 90 days. So for my application I have used a certificate from my husband's employer certifying the maintenance. However I had an e-mail from Home Office today which said that the certificate of maintenance is not accepted as my husband is already on ILR, they pointed me to the below link:

" As you are a partner of a migrant with ILR, you cannot rely on the sponsor for maintenance.Click on the link below (paragraph 81) for information and guidance on the maintenance evidence you need to submit.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... n_2017.pdf "

They have given me 10 days time to submit the additional evidence.

My questions are:

1. I have a bank account in India where I have money in INR which is more than £630. However the continuous 90 day period had completed as of 17th August (my application is dated 10th July), Can I send this as an evidence?

2. Can I send multiple statements? e.g., mine and my husband's where at any given point there is combined balance of more than £630.

Please can anyone guide me in right direction?

I am in the exactly similar situation. I have the funds in my account and forgot to maintain the funds in my wife's (dependent) account. We don't have funds in India. What can I do?

hi, I am in the same situation. How did you manage? Did they accept the funds from 2 accounts ( your account and your spouse's account)? Kindly update.

This is not an issue. You can show the maintenance proof in either your account (Primary applicant) or dependent account. Not an issue at all. Catch here is can we show proof from 2 accounts collectively?
