Dear fellow members,

My name is Damian, currently living in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Dutch citizen) and planning to move to the U.K.
I've checked the requirements and my question to you all is; ' is it possible for me to settle in the UK and have the possibility to invite my fiancé (Philippine citizen) to have a life together in the UK?.

You will not be able to sponsor a fiance under EEA Regulations until you have acquired Permanent Residence in the UK which is currently a 5 year route. There were changes to the Immigration Rules on 6th April 2014.

However, if you can prove a durable relationship akin to marriage with a minimum of 2 years co-habitation, you could qualify as unmarried partners.
