Can I close Branch Business office while extension application in progress

Hey everyone

I applied for extension in March 2017 and My extension application is in the progress but i want to close my 2nd business office which located in different city to the registered company office.


I invested almost £15000 in 2nd business office however i am not able to get more client there.

Should I need to re-submit documents to Home office informing that i closed my second business office ?


I think i do not need to update anything of company house as well as HMRC as my registered office is same .


Please need suggestion from all members

Nothing stops you from doing what is best for your business. No need to inform HO of business changes unless you are not intending to continue as an Entrepreneur

Does it means that if my application is in progress for Entrepreneur extension than i need to inform HO that i closed my second business office ?

I think we can change our office location anytime we like, doesn't matter if our application is in progress because either way trading address will reflect in Company House and You can put a sign for moving. It's my personal opinion though.

No, you don't have to inform if you are just closing your second business office.

Sorry, my answer was a bit tongue in cheek - if you are closing all your offices and stopping all your business then (which is not the case here) then you are no longer an entrepreneur and will not qualify for the extension. So ignore that line of mine.
