I have dual citizenship (Taiwan and Philippines).
Residents of Taiwan do not require the TB test, however those from the Philippines need one.
I applied for my Visa in Taiwan and did not submit a TB test, however I indicated that my permanent residence in the application is in the Philippines.
The UK Visa site indicates this as an exemption rule:
• you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB
screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been
away from that country for no more than 6 months.’
I haven't been away from Taiwan for more than 6 months because I regularly travel between the two countries. However, I had initially assumed that I am automatically exempt from the requirement, because I applied for the Visa in Taiwan. Due to this, I wasn't able to indicate the fact that I haven't been away from Taiwan for more than 6 months, in the additional information section. My Taiwanese passport does have stamps that can prove that I haven't been away from Taiwan for at least 6 months in the past years. I have also only been in Taiwan and the UK in the last 4 months.
So, my question is should I be expecting a refusal because of this, or would the stamps on my passport be enough proof that I should be exempted?
