can i use fixed term deposit for application and maintenance funds?

can i use fixed term deposit for application and maintenance funds?

hi,

I have a question, in tier 4 visas it doesn't mention fixed term deposit for required accounts is fixed deposit same as bonds? and if not can I use a fixed deposit account for my maintenance funds? what should I do?
