Can i apply for sponcer visa

Hello i have a ukraine girlfriend. Before we meet last july and again last oct in Ukraine via my sister in law we had been texting for over 1 year. She applied for a holiday visa to come here on xmas but it was refusied on the grounds that she had no previous travil history. Is it possible for me to make an aplacation to take her here for visit on sponcered visa. I dont have my own bussiness but i do have quite a lot of savings and can cover her costs. any got answer i happy to hear :D
