Payslip dated no earlier than one calendar month

Post by Bnt1989 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:06 pm

Hi,

Don't seem to be able to find any example of this in any of the topics already created.

I'm applying for ILR under the 5 year tier 2 route and I'm a bit confused by the dated no earlier than one calendar month rule.

I have an appointment at the Croydon office on the 29th September and the latest payslip I have is one dated 31st of August which was paid on the 25th of August. Does this satisfy the one calendar month rule? Or should I go for a mid October appointment?

The bank statement covering this will be dated 15th September so I think I'm ok there.

Thanks!

I'd say it's the date on the pay slip that's important, so you should be fine.

I'm happy to be corrected however.

Assuming you have the letter from the Employer confirming the salary it should be fine. Normally pay slips are required to make sure that you're being paid.

You realize apart from pay slip you have to provide 3 months bank statement as well.

Yea I have a letter from employer confirming salary.

Planning to put in 3 months payslip (June-August) and similarly 3 months of bank statements just to be on the safe side.

Just a bit worried on the one calendar month rule on payslips as that is a bit ambiguous in my opinion - thinking august payslip for September appointment was fine until challenged by another colleague.

"safe side" No its mandatory requirement to provide the bank statements.

You could re schedule to later date when you have latest pay slip and bank statements

I was in a similar situation. From my experience, it is fine, as long as your previous salary is reflected in the latest bank statement. As the previous payslip is dated 31 Aug, it is obvious that you will not have the payslip for Sept on the 29th. It is usual to have a gap of a few working days between the payment and payslip dates (as long as it is not too much to raise questions). What are the dates on your previous payslips for June and July? If it is a pattern to issue payslips on the last day of the month, it will be helpful to provide payslips for June and July as well to demonstrate that pattern. So, in total - you will have 3 months payslips, and 3 months bank statements showing those salaries credited to your account. Long story short, you will be fine.

Thanks for the response - very helpful. My June and July one are 30/6 and 31/7 so it's issued right at the end of the month. Yes will have 3 months of payslip (June-Aug) and 3 months of bank statements covering those payslips (15/7 to 15/9) in my application.

When did you apply for ILR and when were the payslips dated?

Yep am going to provide 3 months of bank statements showing corresponding payslips. I'm trying to get this done as early as possible that's why trying not to reschedule if this is fine.

My latest payslip was dated a month + 1 day earlier from the application date, as I did not have payslip for the current month. I submitted the docs for three months to illustrate the payment pattern. No questions were raised.

Just a quick update - this went through ok. Went to a End Sep appointment with my payslip dated end of Aug.
