FLR M no reply nearing 3 months

Post by ellie771 » Wed Sep 13, 2017 11:57 am

Hello everyone,

I can't seem to find enough information regarding the terrible delays seems to be going on with FLR M applications recently, I am aware that there were cases put on hold and there are genuine backlog issues with UKVI but I was under the impression that those were relating to failure to meet financial requirement with kids! I don't fit under any of those categories, so far as we are concerned its a very straight forward spouse visa extension which I have applied within the 28 days of expiration of then current visa,(sent all docs via business class)
Applied and paid for the online/postal on the 15th of June
received acknowledgement letter dated 22nd June
Biometrics given on the 27th June
Received a letter dated 28 July asking for original documents but not saying what in particular, just saying minus those you have already submitted and added all the paragraphs from the evidence of self employment, didn't make it clear what they wanted, anyway I have submitted all the documents before the given deadline and I still haven't heard from them.
To make matters worse I have lost my grandma couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't make it to her funeral :(
I have contacted my mp ( who wrote back saying he made an enquiry and he'll get back when he finds out anything), I have contacted the home office 4th time this morning, second time I called they gave me reference no, third time they have realised they took my details wrong, this morning they insisted they have send an email but I got nothing, so I asked them to call me back!!
Is this timeline seem normal? What else can I do to find out about my application?
p.s. anyone else in similar situation with FLR M application please let me know what you guys did to get ahead
thanks and good luck to all awaiting

Finally this morning I have received my documents back along with a decision letter granting me my spouse visa extension for another 30 months, I have not received any email prior and my online tracking still says awaiting decision. My application date was 15th June and I had received a letter on the 4th of October saying my case was going to take longer, I am thrilled to bits the looonngg wait was getting to hubby and I, I can only hope all genuine couples gets their grant so they can live their lives, bless up :)

its your case id number, if you search for visa application status uk and follow the prompts, just when you enter the number don't put in the 0 (zero) in front.

Hi

You should get your letter any day now, its correct, you can also use your IHS number, it can either be case id, home office reference no or your IHS number. I received mine within about 15 days I think but it took four months to get their decision, there are extreme delays so fingers crossed you'll hear something soon :)

you are most welcome, when you put in the numbers if there is a 0 (zero) in the front don't type that in, if that don't work it might simply be the case that they have not processed it yet, hence why you haven't received your letter, once you get that try again it should work, all the best :)
