Travelling outside UK just after resignation, is it possible?

Hi,
I would like to clarify if there will be a problem if my husband travels outside UK after he resigns from his job. I know that his employer will inform home office and we have to wait for a curtailment letter. His visa will expire Feb 2018 and i know once we receive the letter, depending on their decision, he has 60 days to leave the country. We are planning to travel for 6 days then go back to UK, we are worried that he will not be able to enter as his visa may be in the process of curtailment? We have no intention of staying long here in the UK we are just sorting things for our move to another country.

It might not be a good idea to travel after resignation as he might not be able to enter the UK (if his visa is curtailed while he is away). The 60 days curtailment period is only valid if he is in the UK when the curtailment was issued. In recent times, curtailment letters are sent via email so if the UKVI has his old office email address on his file, then he might not get the curtailment letter as he might not have access to the email address anymore. Some people have also complained about not getting the curtailment letter at all several months after their last job. So it's hard to tell when or how the curtailment letter will be issued.
