Another masters from the same level but different subject area

Post by vchaitra » Wed Sep 13, 2017 6:03 pm

Hi All,

I was in UK as a student between 2009-2011 and I finished my MSc in Business Management from a reputed University.
and was in india between April 2011 to Aug 2012.
came back to uk on PSW from Aug 2012 to Aug 2014
and then was on tier2 from Aug 2014 to May 2016

so in total I was on Student status for 28months.
and on tier2 for 24 months

Now I wanted to pursue my Masters in Information Systems (Full Time) from another University.
I understand that both the masters are Level 7 courses from UKStudentsVisas for internationl.

So here my questions are,
1) can I do my second masters now from the same Level7 but different subject area? will it be considered as academic progression?
2) if yes, can I go for PHD after this second masters?

Any appropriate and right information will be helpful and thank you very much.

Regards

That is a question for your Tier 4 sponsor. It is their judgment.

Yes, unless the 8-year cap applies and you exceed it.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
