Spouse visa application while receiving housing benefit

Hi everyone,

My enquiry is benefit related and financial criteria of spouse visa. I need to know if being received housing benefit has reverse effect on a spouse visa application? I will be sponsoring my wife and I have just started to work as an employee, and my salary is about £19,000pa.before tax and NI. However, entitledto.co.uk has calculated that I am still entitled to get £... for housing benefit and council tax discount based on my £19,000 income. Can I receive housing benefit support and still apply spouse visa for my wife?

Has this been calculated as a single person or a couple? Your wife can't be considered in the entitlement to Housing Benefit or Council Tax reduction.

Calculations made as a single parent.

Basically, calculation was made as a single parent because of my British daughter. I already brought my wife and 6 month old daughter here, last month. My daughter had her British passport before arriving here and mother had 2 years tourist visa (c-type/due April'18). They are already here and started living with me but my wife will return back prior to her application.

Is there a way to attract more people under this topic? I am really desperate for an answer. I have been asking and reading documents for weeks but still confused. I have spoken to few solicitors and they all say different think. Some doesn't even have clue about recent update for immigration rules.
