Questions on Tier 1 Exceptional talent visa (Tech city) fast track option

Post by KingEddy » Fri Sep 15, 2017 8:29 am

Hello guys,

I'm new here and I just need answers to some questions regarding the tech nation exceptional talent visa fast track option.

1. Am I to make the application on the tech city website or the home office website
2. I'm finding it difficult to know the 10 supporting documents to submit. I know I have to submit two recommendation letters, my CV. Am I to submit the original of my credentials or just the photocopy. Am I also to submit papers I have presented in conferences and original of proposals of apps I have helped my various employers developed.
3. Am I to immediately send these documents to the home office or wait after Tech city has endorsed me before I send the documents
4. Do I just apply on the tech city website, print out what I have applied and send to the home office along with my documents or am I to apply for stage one again on the home office website.

I know the questions are many bit please I will be grateful if someone answers them

Thank you

Hello,

Sorry it has taken so long to get a reply.

1. You need to make on both, but tech city first.
2. http://www.techcityuk.com/wp-content/up ... 017-V5.pdf
3. After you have gone through 2 above (I suggest you print it out) and gathered all you need, with your supporting docs etc, complete and submit tech city form, download and print it, apply on UKVI/Home office website, make payment, download the UKVI form, then send your docs to the address provided on UKVI website after payment.
4. Home office website is the stage 1 but you need to go through techcity form first, you need to do both to get endorsement.

hope this helps, you can also check the guideline for this visa on the uk govt website.

Thank you very much Tonto, I really appreciate.
Please let me just ask a quick question. Between the fast track option of empowering the North and having an IT skills that is short supply in the UK. Which one is advisable to choose.

Thanks

I think you should choose whichever one applies...
if its both then choose it, but how do you convince them you would indeed move to the north if you don't already live there?
Check the pdf link, if your job title or skill is on the list as scarce in the UK, then choose it because that requires no explanation, since it's in their guidelines.

All criteria have same weighted, you should select the one that suits your individual situation... if you really have plans to set your self in North then select that else if you are an expert within skills that are on short supply then probably you should select them.. my suggestion would be to go for later as its something where you can demonstrate with evidence (i.e. your skills) as part of your application.
