Spouse visa extension flrm

Post by Polking » Mon Sep 18, 2017 9:39 pm

Hello everyone

I am an Indian citizen I got my spouse visa as I married a British citizen and after getting the visa
For 33 months I have been out of the uk for 178 days from date I entered in the uk in the first year and the. 170 days in the next year and after that I hv been In the uk continuously working and paying taxes as required.

We are about to submit application and we have fulfilled and the requirements

Our concern is how many days am I allowed to stay out of uk per year and does it effect my extension
PS note I have been out of uk with my wife every time

There is no absence limit for someone holding a spouse visa. Only single absences of 180 days or more need to be declared for FLR(M) or ILR. The day of departure and the date of re-entry into the UK aren't included in the 180 day calculation.

However, you will need to consider how much time you have spent outside of the UK when applying for British citizenship (if you choose to do so).
