Tier 2 extension visa delay

Post by brucewayne20172017 » Tue Sep 19, 2017 10:07 pm

Hi all,
I applied for my Tier 2 extension on 25 July
I received an email from Home office stating 'UK visa application: action required' on 19 September (8th week), when I open the link its asking me to redo the application again.
I am worried if this is a generic mail or specific for me.

Is this an old incomplete form? I got an email like that about a form I started but never submitted.

Its asking me to do the form again, payment and declaration. I dont remember starting two application forms.

I am worried because the last time I received the same mail when I applied for Visa extension but eventually it got refused due to difference in Visa fee.

Do you have a confirmation of visa payment and IHS fees? Are you sure you actually submitted the form - i.e checked the declaration and pressed submit?

Yes I did pay the fee and surcharge as well.
I have also done my Biometrics.
When I check my application status it says decision pending from 20 August, my application date was on 25 July.

It sounds like you started two applications then and are being given the 9-week reminder to complete the first one you started or it gets deleted.

If you'd already done your biometrics and arensure you paid the right fees, etc., I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for the reply.

Its been 8 weeks since I submitted my application. The last time I had Biometrics done as well but my application was sent invalid due to wrong fee.

Is there anyway I can contact UKVI or my case worker?
I am very anxious about this right now as we don't receive any correspondence from UKVI.

I think you can contact them after the states period of 8 weeks to check on the progress (Google the UKVI helpline number).

If there was something wrong with the application, I think they'd tell you directly - you wouldn't get a generic email asking you to complete another application.
